From 7ea472f54849f3230d5865884ef75c4edcda3fa8 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Kristian Evers Date: Mon, 28 Aug 2017 08:07:48 +0200 Subject: Major restructure and rewrite of docs. A section on "Using PROJ.4" has been introduced giving a introduction on how to use PROJ.4. The Parameters section has been removed and the content reworked into other sections. Additionally the order of chapters has been changed to provide a more complete and readable experience for users of the documentation. --- docs/source/index.rst | 13 ++++++------- 1 file changed, 6 insertions(+), 7 deletions(-) (limited to 'docs/source/index.rst') diff --git a/docs/source/index.rst b/docs/source/index.rst index b6f15cae..21d70947 100644 --- a/docs/source/index.rst +++ b/docs/source/index.rst @@ -1,13 +1,13 @@ .. _home: ****************************************************************************** -proj.4 +PROJ.4 ****************************************************************************** -proj.4 is a standard UNIX filter function which converts geographic longitude +PROJ.4 is a standard UNIX filter function which converts geographic longitude and latitude coordinates into cartesian coordinates (and vice versa), and it is a C API for software developers to include coordinate transformation in their -own software. proj.4 is maintained on `GitHub `_. +own software.
